This event is offered as part of the Deep-Rooted collaboration with the MSU Beal Botanical Garden, where art and plants intertwine in a conversation about the extraordinary ways our natural world has influenced art and human societies throughout history. On view from September 14, 2024–February 16, 2025, the inaugural Signature Commission Series exhibition COMPLEX DREAMS places the experiences of young Black girlhood center stage while forwarding a refreshing and resilient perspective on the power of Black women today.
