I Am: Portrait Poetry Workshop and Reading

Words and language paint pictures, too. This special event invites participants to explore and write portrait poems in conversation with the exhibitions currently on view at the MSU Broad Art Museum. There will be an opportunity to share work aloud and submit the poems for a possible print or digital zine format, as well as to read poems on similar themes by poets who have experienced incarceration.
This program is presented in partnership with the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities Center for Poetry at Michigan State University.
