Back by popular demand, the pirates are setting out for downtown Lansing in search of urban patterns and typographic forms. Make inky impressions directly from the streets in this hands-on workshop. Participants will take away prints pressed from manhole covers, vents, and utility grates. This workshop is led by Art Lab Educator and ink enthusiast Britta Urness.
Cost of registration ($40) covers instruction and printing materials including two canvas tote bags. Bring extra t-shirts or other fabrics to experiment further with this streetwise endeavor. This workshop will take place outdoors and requires a good amount of walking, so dress accordingly. Participants will meet in downtown Lansing outside of the Social Sloth Cafe, 301 S Washington Square.
