From tennis stars to race car drivers, White’s work is peppered with references to pop culture, sports, and the (often overlooked) legacies of victorious women. This lecture is offered alongside Resistance Training: Arts, Sports, and Civil Rights. On view through February 18, 2024, the exhibition explores the shared values between artists and athletes in the advancement of social justice-related issues.
