Art and Activism: Jenny Kendler in conversation with Elizabeth Corr, NRDC

This event is no longer on sale.

Wednesday March 17

7:00 PM  –  9:00 PM

Jenny Kendler is a Chicago-based artist, activist and naturalist whose work “re-stories” the relationship between humans and the natural world. Her various projects address issues of ecological loss, climate change, and the threat of extinction. Kendler was also the first artist-in-residence at the NRDC, where art and activism come together to confront some of the most pressing issues of our day. Join Kendler in conversation with Elizabeth Corr (Manager of Art Partnerships, Natural Resources Defense Council) and Steven L. Bridges (Associate Curator, MSU Broad) to explore how Kendler’s work animates science, advocacy, and environmental issues. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the conversation and learn about ways they can also support environmental justice and ecological preservation in their own communities. The solo exhibition, Jenny Kendler: The Long Goodbye, is on view January 16–June 26, 2021, at the MSU Broad Art Museum.
