Garden Edition: Deep-Rooted with Beal Botanical Garden

Sunday August 9

Other dates...

1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

Join us at the MSU Beal Botanical Garden for the summer edition of Deep-Rooted! These hands-on workshops focus on the relationship between plants and humans through art.

Learn about the history of oak gall ink and see how it's made with Maeve Bassett, applied ethnobotanist and education director. Then, make your own feather quills to practice your penmanship with your creations!

Deep-Rooted is an ongoing tour collaboration with the MSU Beal Botanical Garden, where art and plants intertwine in a conversation about the extraordinary ways our natural world has influenced art and human societies throughout history.
