What can plants teach us about healing and resilience? The plant knowledge and traditions of Conjure Women of the African Diaspora have shaped American life in ways that are often overlooked. Join Angelica Bajos, community and sustainability coordinator at the MSU Beal Botanical Garden, for a hands-on garden workshop about the contributions of Conjure Women and the plant knowledge behind familiar products like Vicks VapoRub and Pearl Milling Company syrup.  

This workshop is part of the ongoing Deep-Rooted collaboration with the MSU Beal Botanical Garden, where art and plants intertwine in a conversation about the extraordinary ways our natural world has influenced art and human societies throughout history.
