Sightlines + Soundscapes invites visitors into an immersive encounter where sight and sound converge—not as accompaniment, but as dialogue. Join MSU College of Music students as they perform site-specific compositions shaped by the walls of the MSU Broad Art Museum. 

Offered in collaboration with David Biedenbender, MSU associate professor of composition, and Anthony T. Marasco, MSU assistant professor of composition and technology, this semesterly series brings student composers into direct conversation with the museum’s architecture and exhibitions. This fall, performers will respond to We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment. On view Aug. 22, 2026–Mar. 14, 2027, We Are This Land brings together artists who invite us to reflect on our history, consider our present, and imagine brighter futures.
