How does America’s landscape resonate with the story of our time? Sounding America brings contemporary chamber music into the galleries alongside We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment, exploring the interconnected relationship between America's land and its people. Led by Emily Trapani, a doctoral student in the MSU College of Music, this interdisciplinary program invites audiences to journey through the galleries, experiencing music and visual art in conversation as they reflect on the stories, identities, and histories that have shaped—and continue to shape—America.
