Want to connect with fellow educators in a creative space? Deepen your experience with contemporary art and education in this half-day workshop for K–12 teachers. Together we will look closely at ways artists invite us to study our current time and place, while communicating ideas through materials. Expand your teaching practice and recharge as you connect with fellow creative educators. This workshop is designed for teachers of all subjects and grades as a complement to the Start with Art and Global Art for Curious Educators programs.
SCECHs are available, and registration is required.
What can art do for you and your students? Join us as we introduce strategies for teaching with art from the MSU Broad Art Museum’s collection.
Learn to use art as an entry point to discuss big ideas, connect to your core curriculum, and as a tool for integrating social and emotional learning into your classroom community. This one-day workshop is designed for teachers of all subjects in grades K–12 and is co-taught by educators from the Global Art for Curious Educators: A Community of Practice teacher fellowship program and Meghan Collins, museum educator at the MSU Broad Art Museum.
